A bald eagle glides high above the Cabot Trail as we head towards the Osprey Shores Golf Resort for the night.

We stopped at Piper Pewter to pick up some locally-made souvenirs.

We had a great chat with one of the owners about our trip and what there is to do in Nova Scotia once the snow starts to fall. The answer was snowshoeing and making pewter jewelry.

We didn’t have enough Canadian cash to take the cable ferry, so we took the long way around the bay. Even inland, Cape Breton is breathtaking especially along the Bras d’Or Lakes.

We crossed the causeway back onto mainland Nova Scotia and rode to the resort.

It had been a long day riding on epic motorcycle roads; and I, for one, will never forget it.
